Yoko D'holbachie "Living in your Dreams" at London Miles

I recently curated the exhibition, "Living in Your Dreams" featuring a solo show of work by Yoko D'Holbachie.

Yoko is quickly becoming a London favorite for art collectors and art lovers, the response we received from her first solo show in the U.K was fantastic. Yoko's work is truly something special, her neon colors, her amazing immagination and her ablity to make images so beautiful, playful and cute while also being very grotesque and macbre amazes me.

The exhibition opened last week, Wednesday the 18th at the London Miles new location in Westbourne Studios. If you are around, I welcome you personally to come by and have a look at the show and all the hard work that went in to the prepration and instalation for this show. The exhibition is on display until December 5th. 2009

If your not familiar with Yoko's work then its about time you start looking her up. Visit London Miles to view work from the exhibition, there are still a few pieces left for purchase so get your hands on some of these beautiful oil paintings, framed in the most elobrate and decorative frames. All pieces are signed by Yoko on the back.

Or visit Yoko D'holbachie's website to see her collection of stunning oil and digital works.

Tim Burton at MOMA

This is seriously a brilliant video of Tim Burton just speaking freely about his process of creation and a introduction for his solo exhibition at MOMA this fall.
The exhibition is on show from November 22, 2009–April 26, 2010.

Taking inspiration from popular culture, Tim Burton (American, b. 1958) has reinvented Hollywood genre filmmaking as an expression of personal vision, garnering for himself an international audience of fans and influencing a generation of young artists working in film, video, and graphics. This exhibition explores the full range of his creative work, tracing the current of his visual imagination from early childhood drawings through his mature work in film. It brings together over seven hundred examples of rarely or never-before-seen drawings, paintings, photographs, moving image works, concept art, storyboards, puppets, maquettes, costumes, and cinematic ephemera from such films as Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman, Mars Attacks!, Ed Wood, and Beetlejuice, and from unrealized and little-known personal projects that reveal his talent as an artist, illustrator, photographer, and writer working in the spirit of Pop Surrealism. The gallery exhibition is accompanied by a complete retrospective of Burton’s theatrical features and shorts, as well as a lavishly illustrated publication.

Visit MOMA for more information.
